Our standard detailing levels range from 1 to 5. The difference is primarily in the extent to which the paintwork is corrected, for example Level 1 is an entry level detail concentrating on protection whereas our Level 5 Signature Detail is our most complex process removing the clear coats “orange peel” which includes 100% paint correction factor.

Depending on the the level of enhancement you wish to achieve the timescale will usually range from 1 to 5 days, however some special projects and intricate cars can take longer.

Once detailed a lot depends on the maintenance of the vehicle, if maintained correctly the results can last 12 months or more, depending on the use of the car. Most clients have their cars detailed once a year and many have us carry out regular maintenance treatments in between to ensure the longevity of the finish.

When Valkyrie PPF is applied by our certified installers, it carries a full five-year parts and labour warranty against cracking, peeling, staining and hazing. As the warranty is with Valkyrie and not the film manufacture, warranty claims are processed quickly with the minimum fuss.

Our PPF has a self healing layer. Stone chips, scuffs, scratches and swirls that don’t penetrate this layer disappear with the application of heat from hot tap water, the car’s engine or even just the sun.

The clear coat is designed to heal surface scratches and common swirl marks that occur during routine washing of the car. If the scratch penetrates through the film’s clear coat, it will not heal.

Yes, you can wash and wax your vehicle as if Valkyrie PPF were not present.

The time it takes for a scratch to heal depends on the severity of the scratch and the ambient temperature. Minor scratches usually heal in one hour at room temperature (22°C). In warmer climates, healing time will be shorter. The healing process can be accelerated at any time by pouring hot water over the scratched area.

With this technology, there is no limit to the number of times Topaz PPF can heal itself. As long as the clear coat is not penetrated it will heal over and over again.

Depending on how the film is cared for, the clear coat can last indefinitely. Regular washing and waxing will keep the clear coat in top condition for years to come.

The clear coat has a very low surface energy, which makes it extremely difficult for organic compounds to stick to the film. Insects, bird droppings and environmental contaminants (which would normally cause yellowing) such as road oils, exhaust smoke and pollution can be removed during regular washing. Topaz PPF works in a similar way to Teflon coating – protecting the surface of the pan beneath it by preventing anything from sticking.

If ordinary car wash or soap and water won’t remove a stain, there are a variety of products that can do the job. In most cases simple isopropyl rubbing alcohol will remove anything on the surface of the film. In cases of more severe staining, or where something has been left on the film for a long period of time, a sparing amount of lacquer thinner can be used. Bug and tar remover, available at auto parts stores, is also effective.
